Gold Dust

So now it’s cold outside it’s time to bring out all my favourite winter colours! This focuses on all the golds because they are perfect for this time of year! These are a collection of all my go to products and so I thought I’d share them with you.

As you can see there are a lot of MAC Cosmetic products but they are all so pretty and so I couldn’t resist putting them in.

Let’s start with the MAC Mineralize skin finishes… How gorgeous are these shades. The two I have here are ‘Gold Deposit’ and ‘Cheeky Bronze’. I love wearing Gold Deposit but lately it keeps disappearing from my makeup desk and I’ve been finding it in my sisters’ makeup bag… so I guess I’m not the only one loving it!  These are perfect for that shimmer on your cheek bones!

CHANEL Coco Mademoiselle is a definite family favourite. You can find this perfume in my sisters’, mine, and my mums’ handbag because it smells insane. We all have the travel size which is obviously perfect for on the go and as it has a twist lid it has never leaked or broken.

MAC Cosmetic Boldly bare Lip liner and Mocha lipstick are a perfect combination. Boldly bare is just the right shade to outline your lips to make them look full and bold.  I’ve had Mocha for so long now and I use it throughout the year. The colour is such a gorgeous but subtle shade and goes so well with the eyeshadows I’m going to mention in this post!

MAC do so well with their pigment pots! The amount of product you get is amazing and lasts for what feels like forever. I’m no makeup expert and I don’t really know what I’m talking about but with this product comes a lot of fall out.  It’s not a pressed powder so it means that when I apply it there is a lot of product that has fallen out under my eye. I used to spray my brush with MAC’s Fix+ Spray, which actually probably did help, but then I got lazy and have stopped doing it. Maybe I should start spraying my brush again but If anyone has got any suggestions on how to stop the fall out then please let me know in the comments!

Another gorgeous eyeshadow is Faux Gold by MAC Cosmetics. This is actually my sisters but she takes my makeup so I’m sure I’m allowed to use hers… It has such a pretty shimmer to it and even just looking at it in its pot is gorgeous. It also works so well with the shade ‘Puree’ from the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette as a transition colour. That’s a gorgeous palette and has a few of my everyday shades but maybe I’ll talk about that in a different post.

Anastasia Beverly Hills are doing it so right with their Dipbrow Pomade! It’s so perfect for shaping your brows and lasting all day. I also use an eyebrow powder by HD Brows just to keep it looking natural. But this Dipbrow is something I know I’ll be keeping around.

What are your favourite products for winter?

If you read my last post, then you will know I’m loving this style of trousers (if you haven’t read it yet you can find it here // A NEW LOVE ).  In the post I did say I was hoping for some trousers with a brighter colour… that didn’t quite go to plan but I’m definitely keeping my eye out for some.

Anyway, even though these trousers are quite plain it makes them easy to throw on and wear with anything! I chose just a black top to make the white strips stand out and these shoes with eyelets running up the front: I love these shoes! They are actually my sisters’… whoops! (but why have a sister if you can’t borrow her stuff?!) the detailing on them is so cute though and I love the idea of circles with stripes. Another option would be ‘Old Skool’ Vans which I actually wore the other day with these trousers for a more casual and comfy option.

This has got to be one of my favourite outfits recently. The trousers are so comfortable and unlike trousers I’ve worn before (e.g not plain black jeans) but I definitely want to start wearing more like this as they are very much in style at the moment. I decided to just wear a plain white top with it which I tied so that it was more flattering and showed off the culottes.

I love the striped trouser trend at the moment and so far from what I’ve seen, ZARA are selling some great ones! This is where I got these from but they have some great choices on their website that I definitely want to purchase! Maybe ones with a bolder colour next time to switch up my wardrobe a bit.

A quick trip to London with my sister to chill, walk around, and then meet up with our mum for dinner who was already there working. I love this outfit because I’ve wanted trousers like this for so long and then I finally found a pair I liked! What else is so good is that they were from New Look so a good price already + student discount!

Breakfast at Stir

I’d never been to Stir before but my sister took me one morning for a late breakfast and it was so good!! Stir is a restaurant located on Chesterton Road in Cambridge and it definitely does the best brunch that I know of.

I’m such a big fan of lemonade and they did the best lemon drink I think I’ve ever had! It’s called ‘Lemon Zinger’ and I could live off it. All it is though is lemon juice, elderflower cordial, still water, and ice! Which doesn’t sound too fancy but it’s so nice. I also had the loveliest meal which was called a ‘Brioche Stack’ which included spinach, smashed avocado, poached egg, tomato, halloumi and bacon on a brioche bun which I 100% recommend! Sophie had the same!

+ Fashion!

I thought I’d quickly mention what I wore instead of making it a whole new post! Basically it was the same black jeans I always wear and a new off the shoulder top from New Look! I love this as I don’t have anything gingham and so I thought it was really cute for summer!
